As we transition from summer to fall, one thing stays the same, GreenStone values working in our communities. Check out how many of our staff got involved this summer and fall!
GreenStone's construction disbursement specialist Nicole Malaney and the Alpena branch sponsored a local youth Minor Softball League team named Team GreenStone, or "Green Beans" as they called it. The Green Beans held an impressive season record of 10-3-1!
As the Green Beans made it into the playoffs, Nicole shared, “I had the hats with me in hand for the playoffs as a reward for them no matter what. It was just the icing on the cake they won the championship!” Congratulations Team Green Beans!
Team Green Beans reminded us to enjoy every moment of summer, and Michigan Farmers Market Association kept us focused on one of the most important things, our producers.
On July 23 the Michigan Farmers Market Association (MIFMA) hosted their Farmers’ Market at the Capitol. Marketing specialist Emma Moore and marketing & writing intern Dakota Spink attended the event and volunteered throughout the morning.
They spent their time connecting with vendors and attendees while encouraging others to answer a few questions about their experiences.
It's always important to keep your eyes on the target with sports, finding that perfect produce, and of course hunting, and luckily a few GreenStone employees were able to get in some practice!
GreenStone's Stevan Stoutenburg, Haleigh Adolph, Mark Klett, James Cole, Joshua Quaderer, and Celeste Reed attended the 2024 East Side Charity Shoot with Michigan United Conservation Clubs (MUCC). Haleigh shared, "The day was filled with laughter and a touch of competition."
"The funds raised contributed to enhancing the facilities and sustaining the programs focused on hunting, fishing, trapping, and conservation education," said Celeste. "The event also supports the Michigan Out-of-Doors Youth Camp, which hosts 200 young campers and offers hands-on experiences."
GreenStone values getting involved with the communities we live and work in. We are proud to see our staff supporting the youth and our producers year-round; if you’re interested in seeing more of our outreach efforts, check us out on social media!
