Community Outreach and Engagement

Being a part of the rural community requires active participation in activities and programs important to our customers. Through our local branches and association-wide efforts, we contribute time and resources to a variety of organizations aligned with our four target focus areas:
 

Agriculture Advocacy, Customer and Industry Relations, and Producer Leadership Development and Education
We advocate for agriculture by connecting the value of farming and our customers to non-farm publics and key stakeholders, along with supporting causes that further develop our members and benefit their operations.
  

Young, Beginning and Small Farmers
By investing in projects and programs that help remove financial barriers and provide educational opportunities for those developing a career in the industry, and to those sustaining diversity through initiatives such as urban agriculture, we can assist the roles these individuals play in sustaining rural communities and agriculture.
    

Youth Education and Agriculture Awareness
We aim to help educate future generations and develop industry leaders in agriculture and rural communities through supporting educational programs, financial contributions, volunteer efforts, and resources and training programs.
  

Rural Community Engagement
To enhance and impact the quality of life in the rural communities we serve, GreenStone provides support to local and regional organizations whose efforts are aimed at building vibrant communities where we work and live. Included in this focus is an opportunity to partner with you, our members, to make a positive impact and fulfill our mission to service rural America through GreenStone’s Member Grown Outreach program.
