Over the past few days, Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan customers have indicated being contacted by an individual indicating they are from the SBA regarding the status of their PPP loan.
These are phishing attempts and are not legitimate.
Please be aware, if you acquired a PPP loan through GreenStone, all inquiries regarding the status of a PPP loan or audit will come to GreenStone though the SBA loan forgiveness portal and GreenStone will be the one to contact you. As part of our agreement with the SBA, it is GreenStone’s responsibility to contact the customer and facilitate a resolution to any inquiry. The SBA will NOT reach out to the customer directly.
This is one example of several different attempts happening every day by scammers to fraudulently collect information. As always, we encourage you to be vigilant and validate things before sharing any person information with anyone.
